We had mated our lovely Sparta with a handsome male we have known since birth, Eros. 

Miðnætur Erotic Eros is owned by a close friend of mine and bred by another friend of mine.
So I was very happy to use this stunning male, He has alot of qualities and for my taste he and Sparta match perfectly together. 



After waiting for 9 weeks we ended up the morning of 8th of August at the hospital in a C-section. 
A gorgeous light red and white preemie puppy had entered the world. I could not wish for anything else and our journey was started. 

To say that it was a dream come true and that all was just joy and happiness would be a lie. 
The hardest weeks of my live had begun. As I said earlier she was a preemie pup, born approx. 5 days before she was ready. 

She had no hair on her muzzle or feet and she did not breath normally. The vet said that she had undeveloped lungs, and the only thing we could do was to wait. So we did. 

She did not feed without help, so the timer was set every 2 hours day and night to wake up and help her feed from her moma. 

Her weight went up and down and she had to visit the vet 2 times her first 5 days to get water injected under her skin to keep her hydrated. This little girl was a fighter and she was not going down without a fight. 

At 10 days old I thought I would loose her, she started to make these awful sounds like she was in a great deal of pain. I cuddled her all night and tried to make everything comfortable for her and took her to the vets when the sounds got so horrible that I cried with her. She was so little and her tiny body screamed so loud. 
Our doctor said she was alright and I didn´t need to worry, the sounds was just her trying to get more air and her lungs was probably trying to develop. 

When she was 2 weeks she had gotten more hair and she started to breath normally. After that all went up, she started drinking her self and then eating food. It took her a little bit more time than other puppies to open her eyes and start to walk, but she got the hang of it. 

Her name is Maura, named after the most brilliant doctor I have ever seen. 

Being a singleton pup life can be hard,she knows that the sun revolves around her :) and she has a lot of attitude.

WINTER ISLAND A ONE HIT WONDER

We entered Bailey to his first show out of puppy class 6th of September and he did phenomenal!!!

Crystal Eye´s Picasso Painter: CK, Best Male # 1, CAC, CACIB, BOB and got Crufts qualifacation!!!
Later that day he went to the group with 22 other toy breeds and he got 3rd place. 

Needless to say we are very happy with our perfect little Bailey Boy!!!!

Hi there, 

P.J. parents arrived to Iceland to pick him up and bring back home to Denmark, we have had a wonderful time together, PJ. and me, and I can´t wait to meet him again when I will visit Denmark again. 

But we spent the last week together and traveled a little in Iceland and by going to a double outdoorshow in Iceland the weekend 21-22nd of June.

On Saturday P.J. was shown in Open Class for the first time and got Excellent, CK, 1.place, Best Male # 1 with CAC and the title Reykjavík Winner 2014 ( RW-14 ). He then got Best Of Breed and competed later that day in the group but did not get a placement. 

Sparta was also shown and got Excellent and 3rd. place in Open Class with outstanding critiuq. 
Vanja got Very Good and 1st. place in Intermediate Class. 

It was quite windy that day and we got a little bit of rain but we did not let that have any affect on us, and had a blast. 

On Sunday it was pouring down.. it was sooooo much rain!! People had umbrella´s inside the rings! 
We arrived early as the Husky was first. 
Vanja got Excellent, CK and 1st place in Intermediate class, she competed in Best Bitch and was in 4th. place. Happy Happy Joy Joy!!!

Later it was time to bring P.J. out to the rain.. he did wonderful job and showed him self almost to perfection!!
P.J. again got Excellent, CK, 1.st place, Best male # 1 with CAC and CACIB and was Best of Breed. 

So P.J. is now known as ISCH DKCH RW-14 Merriotts Fair Play. 

P.J. was with me for 6 months, and in that he was shown 3 times. He got 3 CAC, 3 BOB, 2 CACIB and the title RW-14. 

We are very excited to announce that we have a planned litter from our Siberian Husky girl Sparta.

She has been bred to Miðnætur Erotic Eros

We also have another surprice, that is a new Lhasa Apso girl.. 
She will be introduced later to you all, but she will arrive in Iceland in the middle of Agust. 

We have a double show coming up in June that Sparta, Vanja and PJ are attending..

Our first show weekend has passed and we did GREAT¨!!!

First we had the huskies on Saturday, and the girls did great :)

on Sunday it was the big outing for the boys in Iceland, 

Bailey did me sooooo proud and went BEST PUPPY IN SHOW!!!!

PJ was BOB and got both CAC and CACIB and was picked out in top 6 out of 18 dogs in the group.

I am so happy with them, they behaved perfectly and this was a perfect day!!

Everything is going well and they have settled in nicely, are best friends with Sparta the husky and love the Icelandic life!

Bailey and PJ arrived from the quarantine station last week, and have settled in nicely. They are very calm and loveable.. outgoing little boys!

I took them last weekend to a show training and they did perfect! I was very happy with them!!

We also went to a little dog gather called Discover Dog´s,, only toybreeds this time, and I introduced the Lhasa Apso to Icelandic people who enjoy dogs! They behaved very well :)

There is always something happening at Winter Island and now recently we decided to buy a female from Finland. She will be joining us in June, welcome little Barbie (Fly Fly From Paris with Love). she is co owned by us and our friend Silla.

Bailey is finally in Iceland now, I went to Denmark to pick him up early january.

A very special guest joined us, PJ who is Bailey's uncle.

They are together in quarantine and will come to me in february.

Bailey was shown in January first time in the puppy class, and he scored his first BOB puppy :)

Bailey was shown in Middlefart 24th of November
Judge was Svend Erik Løvenkjær (Denmark)

Bailey was Best male baby and took BOB baby, later that day he went all the way to BIS-1 baby :D
He was handled by Kirsten Pedersen - thank you so much Kirsten!

I went with the girls to a show in Reykjavík, it was the final show this year, so now we have a show break until february.

I am very happy with the results we got

Sparta, Leirdals Elju Yrja got Excellent, in Open class females
Vanja, Hairspray Queen of Winter Island got Excellent,CK 1.place in Junior class and Best Bitch-2 with her first CAC

Needless to say I am very proud, especially with Vanja, this was her first show as a junior and she was selected BB-2 from 23 females!!!!

From only one show as junior she was ranked #8 Siberian Husky in Iceland according to the Siberian Husky club of Iceland and #5 Siberian Husky female!!! :D:D

I am over the moon with this little girl, only 9.5 months old.

I also took Vanja to get her eye´s examined, and she is found free from all inherited eye diseases!

So all together a great weekend for us!

I have booked a flight to Denmark in January to go pick up Bailey, I can´t wait!!!

I am so proud of my little boy :D

He was shown in Herning the first week in November on a double show in Herning. 

He was Best male baby and BOB Baby the first day 
and second best male baby the next. 

His sister Lulu was Best Female Baby and BOS Baby both days :D

I am so happy about these results. 

Bailey will be coming to Iceland early January! :D
